The Bungalow Accessibility Statement

Introduction

Our self-catering Holiday Bungalow is situated within our 2 acre garden. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please call, we look forward to your visit.

Pre-Arrival

• Bookings can be made by phone, email or letter.

• The nearest Bus Stop is 200yds from the end of our drive.

• Public phone : 500 yards to the left at the end of driveway

• The nearest Train Station is 1.5 miles from the bungalow, accessible taxis can be found at the station.

• Nearest Airport 17.2 miles.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• There is car parking for 2 vehicles side by side outside the front door less than 1 meter away if required.

• The drive is tarmac on a very slight incline to the front door.

Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area

• The main entrance has a paving slab over the tarmac drive 4 cm high, stepping up to the threshold which is 9cm high.

• The front door width is 80cm, hinged on the left.

• Keyhole height is at 130 cm.

• The door opens into the lounge area.

Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc

• No public areas

Lounge

• Free moveable space between armchairs (80cm) allowing access to both bedrooms

• There is a minimum of 50cm space between furniture i.e. armchairs, sofa, coffee table etc. This could easily be changed according to requirements.

• There is no separate laundry but a front loading domestic washing machine & tumble dryer is available in the kitchen.

Outdoor Facilities

• Access to garden with table & seating for 6 - Plus 2 Sun Loungers.

• A wooden bench is also in situ.

• A stainless steel barbeque is also available.

• A 3 armed rotating clothes line is set in the middle of the lawned area, which can be removed.

• A grassed area is 24cm above patio height, but can be accessed via a path to right which is has a 12 cm height change.

DOUBLE BEDROOM 1

• Doorway width 74 cm

• 4ft 6in Pine Double bed provided.

• Bed height to top of mattress is 55cm.

• Non feather pillows & Duvets.

• Sheets pillowcases & covers are cotton.

• Space available to the right side of the bed is 60cm.Space to the left side is 105cm.

• Wood-effect laminate flooring.

DOUBLE BEDROOM 2

• Doorway width is 75cm.

• 4ft 6in Victorian Style bed provided.

• Bed height to top of mattress is 50cm.

• Non feather pillows & mattress.

• Sheets, pillowcases & duvet cover are cotton.

• Space available to the right side of the bed is 83cm, left side is 50cm

• Space between end of the bed and cupboard is 54cm.

• Wood-effect laminate flooring.

BEDROOM 3

• Accessed through bedroom 2 by connecting door (width 66 cm)

• Pair of 3ft wide x 6ft 6in pine bunk beds.

• Permanently attached wooden ladder.

• Bed height from floor to top of mattress is 50cm.

• Height of mattress to top bunk bed from floor is 124cm.

• Top bunk has pine safety rail in place.

• Floor space available free of furniture is 150cm x 190cm

• Wood-effect laminate flooring.

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [En suite or Shared]

• Door width 73 cm.

• Electrically heated Corner Shower with flexible shower head on adjustable riser bar, with controls to the right.

• Step up into the shower is 27cm.

• Light cord above wall mounted mirror is at 180cm.

• Access to toilet through doorway 66 cm wide.

• Toilet height is 43cm.

• Space either side of the toilet is 20cm.

• Accessed from the lounge through an opening without a door.

• Door opening is 74.5cm.

• Work top height is 90cm.

• Oven door is drop-down, lowest shelf is 42cm from the floor.

• Sink is 90 cm from the floor with cupboard underneath.

• Ceramic hob is 92cm from the floor.

• Floor covering is Oak wood effect laminate strips.

• Florescent strip lighting central to ceiling.

• Under pelmet lighting when needed.

• Tiled splash-backs.

• User friendly Peglar taps which can be operated by using one finger.

• Fridge/ freezer box with lowest shelf 38cm.

• Available space in kitchen along main units between chairs & table is 257cm.

• French Doors 104cm wide with 6cm threshold for access to the patio.
